The Historical Society Building is open as noted and by appointment for tours and research. Hundreds of historical artifacts are exhibited, illustrating tools, furniture, Whalom Park items, fire apparatus, and more, all from the bygone days of the town.

There are also voluminous town, school, personal and other records available to staff to assist in conducting research into properties, genealogies, and more.

Many school classes have availed themselves of the opportunity to visit and become acquainted with the history of Lunenburg. Amateur genealogists and history buffs are most welcome.
