Description
This book, nicknamed “The Red Book,” was written in 1977 by members of the Historical Society to mark the 250th anniversary of the town’s incorporation.
There are sections on early houses, colonial settlers, churches, businesses, inns and taverns.
Included in the book is a fold-out copy of the 1833 Cyrus Kilburn map detailing the location of over 250 homes and businesses.
A copy of this book is provided free to all new members of the Historical Society.
